Crockery Cupboard Quilt
Following on from yesterday’s Conkers Quilt unveiling, here is my second pattern for our first The Thread House release – The Crockery Cupboard Quilt!
I loved making those bowls so much that it got me thinking what else I could line up on a shelf.
So I started making jugs and they worked out really well.
Before I knew it I had 2 sizes of bowls and 2 sizes of jugs! One of my craft club members, Catriona, had the genius idea to make an odd jug face the other way – such a great idea, thanks Catriona!
A set of pretty tumblers completed the crockery cupboard. The fabric is all from Wander by Joel Dewberry. It’s the second quilt I’ve made using this (the other one will be in next month’s Love Patchwork and Quilting magazine), and I like it so much that we stock it in the shop.
This was such a quick and fun quilt to make. The handles are curved pieced and do take a little practice, but there are only 9 of them and the rest is really straight forward strip piecing.
Not only can you buy this pattern (imminently!) but I am also offering this as my new 5 week evening course starting in late October!
We launched the new Christmas prospectus yesterday and I don’t think we’ll have too much trouble filling this class as there are only 3 places left already! So if you are local and keen then don’t take too long before booking!

This a really lovely quilt. Reminds me of going to my grandmother's house where she had all her pottery on a shelf made from barn board.
I do wish I lived nearby because I would love dot attend classes to make this quilt. I collect jugs and have them all around my kitchen, it would be fun to make this and match them up with my own collection. x
