Boho Pom Pom Cushions

Issue 10 of Love Patchwork and Quilting magazine should have hit the newstands by now here in the UK.

As usual it is packed to the gunnels (what are gunnels?) with amazing projects and fabulous fabric and quilty eye-candy!

Lynne has got not just 1 but 2 amazing, jaw-dropping quilts in this issue (how does she do it??). Plus that beautiful summery quilt by Karen Lewis on the front cover, and so much more!

This month my project is a trio of round cushions. These are my Boho Pom Pom cushions!

They are pretty big (20″) and squashy and are made with one of my favourite blocks – Dresden Plates.

I just love messing around with this block, it’s so versatile!

Round pillows look good in a stack.

The Pom Poms were the editor’s idea. She had the whole photo shoot planned out while we were still discussing the project!
I know I keep saying this but the thought and detail that goes in to the styling lifts this publication way above all it’s rivals.

This month I am also the subject of the ‘My Space’ feature with lots of lovely photos of our studio including this one of me working on my wool-eater blanket. I also rabbit on a lot about stuff, it’s quite interesting.

But don’t buy the magazine to read about me – you can do that here! Buy it for all those amazing projects!
Details of how to buy this issue are here and how to subscribe here.

  1. I love these. I've recently fallen in love with Dresdens so think I won't be able to resist having a go at a cushion or two……..even though I've told myself I mustn't start any new projects for a while!

  2. This magazine just keeps on getting better, I really think this is the best issue yet. The cushions are really fun, love the vibrant colours used. x
