The Great British Quilter Podcast!

Have you heard about the new Great British Quilter Podcast?  Sarah Ashford founded the Great British Quilter Challenge nearly 3 years ago now. This is a month long photo challenge on Instagram, where quilters respond to daily prompts.  Last year Sarah launched the GBQ Aurifil thread box, curated alongside Charlie Mankin of Sydney Rose Designs and championed by 10 other high profile British Quilters (including me!). You can read about the launch of the thread collection at Festival of Quilts 2018 here.

Sarah decided she wanted to delve a little deeper and find out more about the journeys of the quilters and people in the industry and so she has launched a podcast series!

The first episode of the podcast is now live and ready for you to listen, and I’m the first guest!

My DH took these lovely photos of Sarah and I prior to recording the first episode a few weeks back. Sarah came all the way up to Scotland to record it with me in person and it was a lovely experience.
Thanks so much to both Aurifil Thread and Bernina UK for their sponsorship and to Sarah for getting this whole thing off the ground and for asking me to be her guest.

You can find the podcast at iTunes, Stitcher or many other podcast apps. Or download it from Sarah’s website here.

I’m so looking forward to hearing the other guests she has lined up in the weeks to come (I have secret knowledge of a few of them and they are all fascinating lovely quilters!). I hope you enjoy listening to my (hopefully not too incoherent) ramblings about quilting and… well mainly just quilting 😉

And the great thing is you can listen to it while you are sewing!
